Special Instructions for the T100 Receiver

There are 4 possible cases for configuring the T100 receiver:

Case 1 is used when you just have a single emission line in interest. Case 2 can be used when you have two emission lines separated by ~2 times the IF (5-7GHz) in frequency space. Case 3 can be used when you have a single emission line in interest, and would want to observe this emission line in both polarizations. This allows you to improve the noise by ~sqrt(2) when properly combined at the data reduction stage, and therefore this is preferred over Case 1 when you have a single emission line in interest. Case 4 can be used when you desire maximum frequency coverage (e.g. for wide-band spectral line surveys).

Below are examples and instructions on how to set up the front-end settings in the device table.

Case 1
(1-pol, 1-SB)
Sample:T100CO1

Case 2
(1-pol, 2-SB)
Sample: T100CO2

Case 3
(2-pol, 1-SB/pol)

Case 4
(2-pol, 2-SB/pol)
Sample:T100dual

Important note: The T100H/V receiver uses different equalizer number for the different sidebands. Make sure your keep track of the correct EQ# for the sideband you use. Click here for a graphical explanation.

The rest (IF, backend settings) are described in the main device table page. Be sure to use the "Check Param" button before you save.
