2. How to use obstable
2.1 Startup obstable
    1. From a workstation or a terminal inside NRO, login using the allocated login ID.
    2. Type "obs".  Startup Window appears as shown in fig 2.1.
    3. Enter the information listed below, and push Go button.  Main Window appears as shown in fig 2.2.

Group : Login ID.

Project : Project name you registered.

Observer : Observer name. This is not indispensable.

Window Size :

default : workstation
small : PC-X

2.2 Preparation of Source Table, Scan Table, and Device Table
        You have to make three subtables (Source Table, Scan Table, and Device Table). A window to set parameters of the subtables is opened by pushing a type button on Main Window.  For example, if you select (RA,DEC)(L,B) for Source Table, Source Table Window appears as shown in fig 2.3.  (You can see windows for other subtables in section 3-section 5.)
     
    1. Open a window to set parameters by selecting any type on Main Window.
    2. Enter parameters of the subtable.  (The details of the parameters are discribed in section 3-section 5.)
    3. Push Save button to save the parameters.
    4. Push Quit button to close the window.


    Make Source Table, Scan Table, and Device Table by this way.

    * Samples of Scan Table and Device Table are available from Sample List.

2.3 Preparation of Observe Table
    After you make the subtables, you have to make Observe Table using the subtables, and send it to the workstation that controls the 45m telescope system. The operation mentioned below is performed on Main Window.
    1. Enter name of Observe Table to save.
    2. Enter name of subtables (Source Table, Scan Table and Device Table).
    3. Select type of subtables (e.g., (RA, DEC)(L,B) for Source Table).
    4. Push Save & Send button.  (If you want only to save Observe Table, push Save button.)


    After you send Observe Table to the workstation, you can start your observation.

Basic operations of Obstable are listed here. When you push a button, use the left mouse-button.
