Nobeyama Bolometer Array (NOBA) continuum image of the starburst galaxy M82 at 2 mm superimposed on an optical image of the same object. The image reveals that the emission has a centrally concentrated emission peak associated with the nuclear starburst and a diffuse component extending 400 pc above and below the disk associated with dust entrained in the bipolar molecular outflows in this object.
