NOBA -- Nobeyama Bolometer Array

The Nobeyama Bolometer Array (NOBA) is suited for broad band observations at 150GHz. With unprecedented sensitibity in millimeter-range, NOBA can be used for observations of dusty objects in the universe, free-free emission from HII regions, and faint emission from young galaxies, and QSOs. One of the main advantages of NOBA is the differential read-out system of the bolometer array, which eliminates the necessity of beam-switching (or sky chopping), making the observing efficiency quite higher than standard continuum systems.
