Cover Sheet (1/2)
- Title
- A self-explanatory title.
- Principal Investigator and Collaborators
- These sections should be typed in Alphabet. This is for easy handling of applications with our database system.
- Contact Person
- NRO will contact the person indicated here.
If he/she is the same person that is indicated as P.I., no need to duplicate here.
- Abstract
- A short description of scientific aims and merit.
- Previous Proposal
- This helps referees and the program committee to identify the status of your proposal. If time was allocated to your proposal but turned out to be insufficient, select [C], give below a short description of the reasons, e.g., indicate the number of hours previously assigned, hours lost due to bad weather, and hours needed to complete the program.
Cover Sheet (2/2)
- Receivers
- See Table 2 in the Status Report.
- Frequencies
- Indicate your target lines. If the list is long (more than 4 lines), please attach additional sheets according to the instruction in the template file.
- Spectrometers
- See Table 3 in the Status Report.
- List of objects
- Give the total number of objects to be observed, source names,
their positions in equatorial coordinates (not in galactic coordinates),
and remarks (e.g., red shifts for extra-galactic objects).
If the list is long (more than 4 sources), please attach additional sheets according to the instruction in the template file.
- Observing time
- Give the total number of hours and a breakdown of LST ranges.
It should include overheads for receiver tuning, pointing calibration,
and standard source observation to establish an absolute line intensity scale.
In the breakdown in LST ranges, please indicate the number (integer) of times each LST range.
- Example: Six intervals for Taurus Molecular Cloud, Total hours requested = 60

- Requests
-
Indicate requests or inquiries about instruments, scheduling, etc.
For example, a period when target sources are close to the Sun.
Since the telescope scheduling is tight, there is no guarantee for requested scheduling.
- Proposals in the last 5 years
- Write the status of the data that you obtained with the 45-m telescope in the last 5 years.
You can check your proposal number here.
- List of related publications
- List of your (and collaborators' ) publications
(including submitted papers) related to the present research.
