This is a guide for publication of a paper under a budget support by the Nobeyama Radio
Observatory
Only a paper whose authors include, at least, one NRO member [(a) A member of the Radio Astronomy division (b) a member of the Nobeyama Radio Observatory, or (c) a graduate student supervised by (a) or (b). A person who is on the names list of NRO.]. If one wants to publish a work done in past as an NRO member but after the change of her/his institute from NRO, the author has to include NRO as the affiliation on the paper.
If the cost of publication are expected to be expensive (because of, e.g., color pages), let the committee member (nro-lib_pub @ nao.ac.jp) know at the submission. You may be requested to submit a "Query of Payment Form" (Format) and/or you may be requested to organize the payment to share with other institute if possible.
The editor or the press will request the author to send them the page charge and/or reprint order form. With this form, the author should also send a docment whose content is the 'Agreement of the Payment' signatured by the NAO publication committee. Please ask the NAO Publication Committee (Dr. M. Miyoshi) to obtain this document. The author is requested to hand following documents after her/his reply to the press:
(1) a copy of the Agreement of the Payment
(2) a copy of the page charge and/or preprint order form
Note: Fill 'Send Invoice To' as 'Nobeyama Radio Observatory', and 'Ship Reprints to' as the author's name.
(3) a form for a Japanese translation of the title (Format). If you are not skilled with Japanese language, just let us know.
Not a duty, but the authors are highly recommended to publish preprints in the 'NRO reports' series. Detailed information is given here.
After the publication of the paper, hand following documents to the NAO Publication committee (Dr. M. Miyoshi).
(1) Invoice (in case the press send directly to the author)
(2) 2 copies of reprints
