Let's view color maps of a map image

This TASK displays a map file created by imaging task, such as MAP (large) or P-V DIAGRAM etc., directly to SSS (AIPS TV). This TASK uses a task TVALL in AIPS.

* USAGE:
1. Starting MAP to SSS
Click [MAP to SSS] on Button Panel. The following parameter window appears.

2. Setting up parameters
  1. Type map file name in "Image name" or select a file from [File List]. Usage of [File List]
  2. Check all 0 with "Bottom left" and "Top right". Then the entire map is displayed. And check 1 with "TV channel".

3. Execution
  1. Click [Exec] in the menu bar, and select [Activate program] from the pull-down menu. SSS window is opened, and a map image is shown on SSS.

  2. Hit the following key on SSS window:
    a: enhance B/W or color alternately
    Changing color scale when you hit a key, and varying color tone when you drag the mouse.
    b: increment zoom & set zoom center
    Zoom in the image when you hit b key, and moving center to the position where you click with mouse.
    c: decrement zoom & set zoom center
    Zoom out the image when you hit c key after zoom in with hitting b key.
    d: finish process
    Finishing process of SSS when you hit d key.

  3. You need to finish this process (by hitting d key) after the end of your work. This TASK ends with the message "Appears to have ended successfully" in the message window.
