Utility: FROM CMT



This TASK is to load data files, which are saved using FILE SERVICE (NewStar format), from DAT (or 8mm tape) or disk.

1. Setting up parameters
Input device:
Specify an input device name. For example, type "mt21u:/dev/rmt/0n" when you use the DAT drive in 2F computer room ("mt21u" is the name of the workstation, and "/dev/rmt/0n" the name of the DAT drive).
The device name of the 8mm tape drive is "/dev/rmt/1n".

When you load a disk file, specify the absolute path to the file, such as "mt21u:/home/Group/Project/work" (type your Group name and Project name in /Group/Project/).
<Set file numbers below. (ex. 1-5,7)>
Specify sequence numbers of files in your tape. For example, 1-5, 7 means file numbers 1 to 5, and 7.
If you printed out the list of saved files when you performed FILE SERVICE, sequence numbers were listed.

2. Execution
Execute this TASK from the menu bar. The TASK automatically ends.
