Raw data: GCONV

This TASK is to make spectral data from raw data. The intensity scaling can be simultaneously done. On the other hand, spectra obtained at the same position are not integrated. This TASK is used for data obtained with BEARS (25 multibeam receiver). If you plan to use a TASK Pos. Correct, use this TASK to make spectra.
basic: GCONV

* NOTICE:
Spectra will be appended if the name of the output file already exists.

* USAGE:
< Parameter window for GCONV >

1. Setting up parameters
Schedule:
Specify a raw data name, or select from [File List]. If you want to treat more than one file for input, mark a function "Use temporary file to concatenate files" under the DONE button in the [File List]. Then, you can select more than one file.
Output file:
Specify a file name for output. An extension name is 'GROUP'.
Array:
Select 'All Array' or 'Specify below'. If you select 'Specify below', then mark arrays (spectrometers) to treat.

Explanation of abbreviations for the spectrometer names:
  • H means AOS high-resolution spectrometers.
  • W means AOS wide-band spectrometers.
  • UW means an AOS ultra-wide-band spectrometer.
  • A means autocorrelators.
Multi auto scaling:
Select 'NO' (default) or 'YES'.
If you select 'YES', then intensity scaling factors are (automatically) applied to the spectra obtained with the multi-beam receiver. At present this function is not supported.
Scaling1:
This is a function to apply the same scaling factor for all spectrometers.
Scaling2:
This is a function to apply different scaling factors for spectrometers. Put values in the optional window. This function is used for observations with BEARS.
Auto flagging:
Select 'NO' (default) or 'YES'.
If you select 'YES', then put an acceptable maximum speed of wind at the 'limit speed(m/s):' box. Scans with wind speed larger than this value are automatically flagged. The wind speed is read to the driving program (COSMOS) once just before the end of each ON position, and consequently the speed is an instantaneous value.

2. Setting up parameters for the parameter optional window

< Parameter optional window for GCONV >

If you select 'YES' at Scaling2:, then put scaling factors in this optional window.

3. Execution
Execute this TASK from the menu bar. The TASK automatically ends.
